Purafil established Environmental Systems Division (ESD) in 1987 in response to a growing demand for high-efficiency odor control systems at pump stations and wastewater treatment plants. Purafil ESD dry-chemical scrubbers put an end to odor complaints. They offered a low-maintenance, economical solution that could be applied to remote applications or at the wastewater treatment plant itself.
