ODOR MEDIA

Purafil ESD’s patented, odor-scrubbing media are the core of our systems. We engineer and manufacture our media from raw ingredients to ensure their superior removal capacity against hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans, aldehydes, organics, and many other odorous gases. Our media are UL Classified, non-toxic, non-hazardous, and landfill disposable. Purafil ESD combines the following engineered media in your Purafil ESD odor scrubber to ensure complete control of sewage odors:

Purafil ESD Odoroxidant™ SP Media
Odoroxidant™ SP is powerful oxidizer containing 12% of the active ingredient sodium permanganate. The media removes contaminants through an irreversible chemical reaction process and changes in color from purple to brownish-white when expired and ready for replacement. Odoroxidant SP is non-hazardous before and after reaction, landfill disposable, and UL Classified Class 1.
Purafil ESD Odorcarb® II Media
Odorcarb® II is the media of choice for removal of hydrogen sulfide gas and offers a 35% removal capacity by weight. The media contains Media Life Indicator Pellets (patent-pending), which change in color from blue to white when the media is expired and ready for replacement. Odorcarb II is non-hazardous before and after reaction, landfill disposable, and UL Classified Class 2.
Purafil ESD Odormix ™ SP Media
Odormix ™ SP removes the broadest range of odors and is usually the final or "polishing" stage in Purafil ESD odor scrubbing. The media is a 50:50 volume mix of Odoroxidant SP media and Odorkol™ media, a premium grade activated carbon. Odormix SP is non-hazardous before and after reaction, landfill disposable, and UL Classified Class 1.
