Purafil Technical Director, Chris Muller, was recently named the recipient of the 2008 Maurice Simpson Technical Editors Award by the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST). Chris was nominated for his comprehensive, technical paper entitled, Comparison of Chemical Filters for the Control of Airborne Molecular Contamination. The paper was published in the 2007 Journal of the IEST, garnering Chris an award traditionally presented to authors of the best technical papers published by the IEST during the preceding year.

CORROSION CONTROL

Corrosive, acid gases, such as hydrogen sulfide, attack sensitive computer controls and other critical electronics that can affect the reliability of plant processes. Corrosive gases attack edge connectors, pin connectors, IC plug-in sockets, wire-wrap connections, and other metal components. If not controlled, corrosion leads to blocked currents, brittle connection points, and overheated systems.

By using Purafil ESD Corrosion Control Scrubbers, you can improve process reliability. You can also prevent expenditures for new systems and avoid premature repairs. Purafil offers the following four solutions for corrosion control in spaces housing sensitive electronics:

Solution #1: Pressurize and purify.
