ENERSAVE SUCCESS STORIES

EnerSAVE saves the Century Center OVER $300,000

Century Center, Atlanta, Georgia
1800 Century Center is an 18-story commercial office building in Atlanta, Georgia that faced possible upgrades in excess of $300,000 when a high-occupancy tenant moved into the entire facility. Using ASHRAE 62’s IAQ Procedure, Purafil engineers developed an IAQ model to verify that Enersave would meet ASHRAE requirements and provide a cost-effective solution. As part of Enersave, Purafil installed Purafilters® as prefilters in every floor’s air handling unit. Property management was completely satisfied with Enersave, which allowed them to reduce the amount of outside air brought into the building, control gaseous pollutants, and recirculate clean air.

EnerSAVE was used as part of an upgrade and renovation to Busch Memorial Center at St. Louis University

Busch Memorial Center, St. Louis, Missouri
Since 1967 Busch Memorial Center (BMC) has been the center of activity at St. Louis University, serving countless students, professors, alumni and visitors. After nearly four decades of use, the university outgrew the original design of its student union and decided to expand and renovate BMC. As part of Enersave, Purafil installed Purafilters® as prefilters in every floor’s air handling unit. Enersave took just two months to implement. The school reduced outside air requirements while saving thousands of dollars on potential capital and operational costs.

Scott Stadium at the University of Virginia used Purafil as part of a renovation to their stadium

University of Virginia Scott Stadium, Charlottesville, Virginia
After a landmark $25-million grant in June 1997, the University of Virginia embarked on a three-year plan to renovate Scott Stadium, home of the Virginia Cavaliers, and increase its capacity from 40,000 to over 60,000. Each of the stadium’s existing 44 restrooms relied on ventilation ductwork to dilute odors. Expanding the stadium’s seating capacity would require significant investments in new ductwork. Purafil and Enersave provided the solution: self-contained filtration systems that sit above the restroom ceiling. By recirculating and cleaning air that would previously have been exhausted, ventilation air requirements were reduced and the university saved thousands on complex ductwork.
